The Summerside Residents Association (SSRA) is a not-for profit organization managed by a Board of Directors. The SSRA’s goal is to ensure the community features, amenities and facilities continue to be conveniently available for the long term use of its members. The SSRA allows exclusive access to facilities and amenities, useable green space, professional full-time site staff, a private community website, and countless opportunities to gather with your neighbours and friends year-round.

The Best of The Beach House

Open 365 days/year, Lake Summerside is a 32-acre, man-made, freshwater oasis that sets you and your family up to fish, swim, boat, skate, play hockey... and to be the envy of your friends.

The Beach House facilitates access to on-shore activities and amenities, including basketball, beach volleyball and tennis courts, playgrounds, outdoor BBQ pits and much more!

Your family’s safety is our top priority, and to that end, weekly lake-water tests are taken to ensure the quality of the water you swim in remains exceptional — all 680 million litres of it!

Did you know that over 1.3 million cubic metres of dirt were removed to build the 32-acre lake, and that it required more than 3,700 tonnes of limestone to complete the shore line?

The lake is stocked with over 10,000 rainbow trout for fishing, and hungry grass carp act as the lake’s weed maintenance crew; eliminating the need for chemical plant-growth control.
